Guest
Trying to start a new project, the SA6 block is cracked across two valves. WPC News Vol III No. I interchange shows block same as Dodge DD, for reference. How tough would it be to swap in a later Mopar flathead 6 and 3 speed? I hear of a good running motor/trans here local from a 1937 Plymouth. How much different are the motor mount locations? If not a bolt in, I would assume pretty close. I could make adapter brackets and not modify the frame. Advice? I intend to keep stock, so if I can locate the correct engine someday, or someone else can, return to original.Thanks- Scott
Guest
I have several sa Desotos and an extra motor. Do not put the newer motor in the car. The original is perfect for the car.Randy
