NYC Mayor Jimmy Walker's Duesenberg?

Recommended Posts

Definitely a Duesenberg Model J.

Low windshield is unique.    Similar to J-183 with Derham body that was delivered new to Edwin Corning.   Difference being the car  in your pictures has center hung doors.

Did Jimmy Walker actually own the car?  I don't see any obvious records of that.

This is not J-183. Note the outline of the roof and the location of the door handles.

Agreed.  I noted the center hung doors in my post.

I don't have a picture of J-334 Murphy Town Car which is attributed to Walker in your link.   Most of the Murphy's seem to have high windshields, however.

I am stumbling across this older thread as result of a search, but I will add these two newspaper clippings to the history if Jimmy Walker's Duesenberg J. This article is from December 23, 1933. City money was used for the purchase. Enjoy.
