Wobbly Dave
Looking for a Studebaker light-six Remy 215-B starter end cap? (pot metal)!
certjeff1
You are not going to find that part. They all disintegrate. What I do is use 1940's- 1950's Delco-Remy 6v starter field case and commutator plates. I first did this on a 1919 Anderson starter years ago. The later end plates are either cast iron or cast aluminum.
Dodge1934
I have a Northway engine from that era and the starter had a potmetal end to it. I was fortunate to find a starter from the same type of engine that had a steel end on it ( Different year I think) ... so keep your eye open you may get lucky at some point. If you do find a potmetal end be sure to seal the peice to stop the deterioration. I have done this for a few pieces from the 30s with good success.
