This house below was a Lloyd Wright house. For over 50 years it was a landmark for those to see.

It's nice that there are photos to record it's presence in our history.

Due to the fact that Illinois Attorney Generals refuse to get involved in corruption investigations(Hell, the Attorney General before this guy we have now was the daughter of the guy who has run the state into the ground for 40 years) most of our crooked Pols have been sent to Federal jails. So there is a small cost saving there.

Yup, Kerner, Walker, Ryan, Blagojevich, various state, local and Federal officials, the Daley machine, the Madigan machine - Illinois corruption has been rife since before statehood.

My Dad moved our family to Oak Park, Illionois when I was 11 years old. Each September, I would ride my bike to Foley Cadillac, which was the former Packard dealership on Madison Avenue in Oak Park, just to look at the new cars in the showroom. If you were lucky to catch the delivery of the new cars it was added pleasure.

Years later when I was looking to buy my first Packard, I came across a Packard that had been sold at this Packard dealer in Oak Park, as it had its original data tag on the firewall. Atb that time I researched the dealership at that time through the Oak Park Historical Society and found a few photos of the dealership.

All good things do come to and end, unfortunately.
