Rear Defrosters

My rear defroster quit working on my 1990 Buick Reatta. The plug is tight on the window. I have never had a problem with the working. Makes ne think its a fuse or relay. Any help would be much Appreciated as to where to start.

Based on what I've read in the 1991 Factory Service Manual (I don't have a '90), there are two fuses you might check on. At the RH front of console interior relay center is fuse #2-25amp defog and outside heated rear view mirror fuse.  At the LH front of console interior fuse block is fuse #20-5amp coolant fan fuse.  Both seem to be related to the rear defogger.

my #2 fuse 25 amp for the Defog on the passenger side was toasted. I dont know what caused that but surely thats my  problem

hoping for frost in the morning so I can test it.

Yea!! My rear defrosters work again.

Lately I've been hoping for frost just so I can turn them on. 🙂

Now so should your heated driver's side external rear view mirror.
