Al, These clutches came out pre 1910 . These were  many sizes made all geared towards HP and loads. The one Im using has 16 plates. They are around, keep poking around.

Here is a picture of a Helleshaw design multi-disc clutch assembly.  Used for many types of power transmission types, road, ag. industrial and potentially marine.

Does anyo0ne have original literature from a teens FWD truck, or other make, that shows the set-up of the multi-disc clutch, throw-out assembly, clutch brake and relevant service information?  I am interested in that information.
