Morgan Wright
Watch and see if I "make the grade" in my 1917 E-49 14% is 8 degrees. This is the hill the school bus always gets stuck on when it snows. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OM3Z8CaEgg
michealbernal
Your car seemed to handle the hill without a problem. Are you using the vacuum fuel feed or are you using an electric fuel pump? I always hear stories of the old cars running out of fuel on long steep grades because the vacuum fuel feed was unable to provide enough fuel. I wonder just how factual those stories are. I am using the original vacuum tank. I used to have a problem with it but it turned out to be the crappy modern generic "Made in India" fuel filter I bought, I switched to an old Carter filter and have never had a problem since, and I drive all over the place.
