john116
I rebuilt the carburettor on my 1934 Buick, and now seem to have an issue with the accelerator pump. Using the accelerator pedal, I don't get a good 'squirt' of fuel into the carb, if I manipulate the accelerator pump by hand, it seems OK. Not sure what the problem is, and currently can't find the old parts to see if the accelerator pump part is the same. It's as if it's out of adjustment, and if I could adjust it, it would then be OK. Any suggestions appreciated.
Buick35
Let me know how you make out since I have one in mine too.So far it's o.k. except hard to start after sitting long time unless I squirt gas down it.Greg
55nomader
Mine is updraft carb, no accelerator pump , had trouble starting it so I plumbed and wired in a6v electric fuel pump that I use to prime the system after sitting. Works great, I shut off the electric after starting and it runs fine with the rebuilt fuel pump.
Buick35
I'm thinking of putting on on mine but it's a down draft.
