Guest
Not mine but certainly an interesting car for the money: https://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/d/camarillo-rare-1953-mg-yb/7213769502.html Reply by e-mail: 95976c2df69035bc8d670f4798d8a687@sale.craigslist.org My father purchased this vehicle in 1972 and kept it in the garage at all times. Just 10,828 miles. In good condition for how old it is but needs work. Does not run and we do not have the keys. We do have clean title.
Chip Uren
I would love to have this car but don't have the guts to buy long distance on craigslist... Arkansas is a long long way.

Arkansas is a long long way. It's not lack of guts that's stopping you; it's too much brain. Buying sight unseen is never a good idea. Against my better judgement, I bought a car on the opposite coast from a dealer/restorer with a supposedly sterling reputation, based on photos and description. What arrived on the transport looked, and ran, nothing like what the seller had represented. You also have to factor in the cost of transport, and transporting a car "long long way" is probably a good fraction of the purchase price. Keep looking. JamesR
Yes, I also admit that I would've seriously considered that car at that price were it still on the market and a little bit closer. Really cool. Based on what I can see, they gave it away at that price.
Guest
At only $3K for a southern California car, I don't see too much risk there.
Chip Uren
I inquired but never got an answer. would have risked the 4500 or so it would have cost to buy and move...
Guest
Chip, I just happened across the ad minutes after it was listed. I'm sure it sold within the hour. It was only 2 hours away from me and I'm sure I couldn't have made it in time.
Steve_Mack_CT
I understand a lot of interchange with the TD. Might not be too bad to restore mechanically, and not terrible looking as it sita cosmetically. Agree a good deal that likely went fast. The couple I have seen here in NE have not been that nice and were more $$.
