Guest
Watching a show last night and this image of a '28 Lincoln coupe was shown. I thought the placement of the twin mirrors was unusual. I have never seen them in this position before. Would this have been a Lincoln option or perhaps an after market add on? Cheers, Greg
Walt G
I have seen it on other period photographs of cars of the same era, all were larger luxury cars , not many examples but more then one. It could have been a dealer / showroom option not necessarily a factory option that would appear in a factory accessory catalog or listing in a salesman's data book etc.

JACK M
When the mirrors are placed that far from the driver they are just about worthless.
Guest
I think you're right Jack. Although they do look sharp, I think more fashion than function.
Guest
Fender mounted mirrors are fantastic. I was very disappointed when North America moved their mirrors back to the doors.
JACK M
I had fender mirrors on a Bentley once. Worthless for rear view and backing up. But yea, looked cool. Edited October 14, 2020 by JACK M (see edit history)
