Flivverking
From " Look" Oct. 26, 1937 An Indiana Fair dare-devil! Looks like a 2 rear wheel brake, 4 banger car by the size. .At 55 mph to air born off the ramp it must have been flat out for a 1/4 mile.

nzcarnerd
Might be a 1924-25 Studebaker? They used that style visor for a short period abut the time the Light Six Became the Standard Six. A possibility as the Stude was built in Indiana.
46 woodie
I think it's hilarious that if you read the caption's that, "he wore a football helmet on his head". Never mind the fact that he did not have a seatbelt and that big old steering wheel was ready to break all his ribs, smash in his face and teeth and possibly worse. He was probably lucky the stunt failed and he landed in the water!
dalef62
I liked the last sentence, "the tractor operator was killed by a train the next day". So the stunt was not the dangerous part.
