Moonrise Gray/Talisman Red

Sounds like the perfect color combination for the Halloween season! 😄

It appears to be a very good price for as clean as it looks in the photos. Rebuilt engine...and overdrive, too.. so highway driving shouldn't be a problem. This one's going to sell!

Wow!  I have NEVER seen any 1950's car

in that combination:  soft gray primary color

with pink accents.  Some owner back in 1959--

perhaps a fashionable young housewife--

was thinking creatively and independently.

I would be a standout at any show.

Soft light gray with pale pink accents was very much a late 1950's fashion color combination.  It even extended to architectural color choices for interior and exterior, more than one split-level was painted these colors, had a light gray tiled bathroom with pink fixtures.  Mid-Century Modern at its best!

An unusual feature of this car is the overdrive.

Ford offered OD as a regular production option but for whatever reason Edsel did not. Officially it was not available.

Edsel experts have documented a few examples that were factory equipped with OD and the data plate typically has a blank spot where the transmission should be indicated.

The reverse two tone is rarely seen. Although available, Moonrise gray was never intended to be a body color
