Guest Posted December 19, 2002 Share Posted December 19, 2002 so heres my scoop: i own a 79 4dr lesabre. i want to know if the chassis is strong enough as is to do some drivetrain upgrades. i want to do a 455 swap and get a solid rear axle. thats basically it. will this screw up my frame? BUICK RACER Posted December 22, 2002 Share Posted December 22, 2002 check out http://www.v8buick.com for engine swap info, not sure why you would want a solid axle in the rear unless you mean limited-slip/posi-traction, then you should probably either swap the whole axle or change the innards more on that on the same site.
