MrEarl
Been hearing a few dislikes of the newest forum upgrade, thought I'd start a thread where we can tell some of our likes. I really like the new sidebar format ie the Photo Gallery and then below it the Recent Activity. Hopefully, by the photos being updated as members post them, it will prompt more interest and usage of the Gallery. The Recent Activity I like because it prompts me to share interest in others forums that I normally would never have gone to. No more Advertisements. Maybe this went away before the change but if so I hadn't noticed. Less, "Are You Sure You Want To's" that required one to make yet another click. Such as "Are You Sure You Want to Mark This Forum as Read" well duhhh would I have scrolled all the way down here and aimed my pointer at it and clicked it if I wasn't pretty sure..... The "Who's on Line" at the bottom of the page, was it here previously and I just didn't notice it? 1 Link to comment
Ronnie
I like that you can tell who started the thread (Author) by looking on the right side of the screen as you scroll through a long thread. 1 Link to comment
MrEarl
@Peter Gariepy I notice a lot of blank space beneath the Recent Activity. I am wondering if it is possible to increase the number of threads listed within that. Is it controlled by duration of time (what is considered "recent"), number of posts or? maok
I like that when a long post is quoted, the quote needs to be expanded to see the full quote, one does not have to scroll all the way down to read the new post. Much more efficient. Thank you. 2 Link to comment
