Peter Gariepy
There is a stunning original 1947 Lincoln on Ebay I am considering buying. Find it at the following url:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1874779292 One big question though - are the taillights original? hmmmm... something just isn't right about them. Your input would be greatly appreciated! Peter
Guest
Looks like the back is from a maybe 56 Lincoln. BillP
1937hd45
Peter, I'm no Lincoln expert, but that looks like the back half of a 1956 Lincoln Mark III. I may have the Mark number wrong but it is a mid fifties rear clip. I think the cars were one of the first unibodied Ford products. Chances are good that this may not be a great "conversion". I sure wouldn't buy it sight unseen. Top looks a tad out of alignment, so most of the other features may be out as well. I thought you wanted a brass car a while back? Mike Dube
One of the odder cobbles I've seen, but at least its all Lincoln. I wonder what the Mark ll nose looks like with the Zephyr rear end?
Guest
The ass end is certainly '56 MK II although it seems to have the original V12, not one of my favorite engines for ideal breathing characteristics and you don't know what else was done to it! Stay the hell away from it!

Guest
I think Johnny Cash had a hit song about one like that. "One Piece At a Time," if memory serves correctly. hvs And yes, it may very well qualify for class 37, if the timing is right

Guest
But on the bright side, it does have just under a half-million miles, so the V12 can't be all bad.
