MIClassicGuy
Hello everybody, After a few years of minimal progress, I'm back to making some progress on the car. Ever since I rebuilt the engine, I've had a small oil leak or two around the generator and front of the pan. Nothing major, but always a drop hanging there, and a 2" wet spot on the floor. Have any of you ran into sealing issues that can be easily fixed or should I ignore it and say it's the nature of the beast? Dennis
Alan Cutler
Been my experience leather seals only work with about 200-500 miles on them, once broken in, they seal right up, until they dry up again...
keiser31
I would get a drip pan.
nearchoclatetown
John, I agree. Last time I saw this car was Wisconsin. It needs some road miles on it, then the drip won't matter so much. Dennis, you done a great job with this car, love the colors.
Mattml430
Mine has a slight weep there but doesn’t really leave oil on the garage floor. The oil on the floor comes from everywhere else on it. To be honest it’s pretty good for oil leaks, big out of the diff and a bit out of the rear main seal.
