jonlabree
Still having idling problems. When the A/C is on the engine idles quite fast, around 1300 to 1400 rpms. When the air is turned off the idle returns to normal around 750 to 800 rpms. What sensor controls the idle when the air is turned on and off? Anyone? Barney Eaton
I believe the ECM adjusts the idle up when the a/c is on. Other things to check... a vacumn leak can change the idle The idle air valve can let more air in and the EC M compensates with more fuel. you can pull the valve and clean the seat and that might help. padgett
Can start here but doubt that is the probem, can cause a surging idle but not just high. I'd want to watch the IAC command coming from the ECM (ED22) and see what it does.
