Danielm53
Hello. First time here. Interested in purchasing a Reatta. Saw this ad on Craigslist. Says it has a blown head gasket for non starting issue. Doesn’t make sense to me unless the engine seized. Any input would great. https://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/d/agoura-hills-buick-reatta-1988/7158387396.html Thanks!

Barney Eaton
It's a $700 car........ what do you expect? Does it have a good interior? Looks like the body is straight and all the glass is good. If you put a used motor in it what would that cost? $1000 now you have $1700 in it and there will probably be other things it needs. It is a 30 year old car. Only buy it if you want a Reatta. Or take the $1700 and see what you can buy....probably nothing equal.
Kevin M
It is an early 88. So that’s rarer too. Depends on how much you like it and want too have one like has been said already.

B Jake Moran
$200. $700? You can get low mileage running cars for $700. (Reatta). I sold my running driving #105 earliest production Reatta in existence for $500. Whatever you offer that seller will take.
B Jake Moran
The last owner is tired of dumping money in it “in the few short weeks” he has had it.
Danielm53
Thank you all! I’ll probably not go ahead with this one. Thanks again!
DAVES89
If it was a blown head gasket the car should still start. I am betting the current owner is not car knowledgable and that what is needed is a crank sensor. However it really is a parts car with new tires.
