The Devil’s Mopars

I was cleaning out photos from my phone and had forgotten about these.  I came across these Cars under a freeway overpass in Salinas, Ca last July.   Looks like there are 6 of them lined up, not sure of year/models. The images conjure up many thoughts, feel free to ad yours:
 

Are they left over from the Zombie Apocalypse that I missed?
 

Insurance fraud?

 

I’m gonna restore these (someday)

In any case, I love auto photography so I wanted to share them, but didn’t seem right to put on the “period images to relieve some stress” post.

I agree with Billy...my guess is they're the victims of one of those California wildfires of the last couple of years. Someone's beautiful collection up in smoke. Sad indeed.

I lost a project car in a fire, it looks very similar to what is pictured. Maybe a staging area of some sort?

Left overs hoping to salvage something from the Salinas warehouse fire in 2019 off Salinas & Industrial would be my guess. What a cryin shame...
