Reaper1 Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 OK, so I will admit that I haven't researched this too much on the TC. However, over the years of my involvement with the Shelby Dodge folks I have seen numerous instances where people were successful in getting the title and registrations of their cars changed from "Dodge" to "Shelby". The process required to do this is different in every state, and some states absolutely won't change it from what I have seen over time. What I want to know is, has anyone successfully gotten the title and registration of their TC changed to read the manufacturer as "Maserati"? This really should be a "no brainer" as the VIN *AND* manufacturer plate of the car indicate it is a Maserati. Unlike the Shelby Dodge cars that carry a VIN that is Chrysler and 2 manufacturer plates. So, has anyone done it? I am going to look into the process for Washington state just to see if I can.
tjackmil Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 I'm in Pennsylvania and had not trouble registering my car as a Maserati. From previous posts, (or maybe a club newsletter) I remember that the VIN sequence changed and later built cars were shown as being manufactured by Chrysler.
16v_guru Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Mine is titled as Make: "Europa Motor Cars".............as that's the manufacturer on the original MSO for our cars. Anyone else ever seen that!? Surely, I can't be the only one.
Moparite Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 It was sold in Chrysler dealerships only when new. So the original title would say"Chrysler". I would say it depends on the state you try to title it in. Mine says Chrysler. Only issue i had was the color name. I put down what was was on the original title(different state) but they said it had to be something different(don't remember). And they said they had to do some research because they where not familiar with it. Color says "MN" on the title now. ???
