Guest Posted December 13, 2002 Share Posted December 13, 2002 Lot's of cars in the teens had four valves per cylinder -- Locomobile and Stutz come to mind. Big T-head engines with separate camshafts for the exhaust and intake sides. Because the combustion chambers were so wide, a number of them offered dual ignition, meaning two spark plugs per cylinder, with two separate distributors, each firing four or six plugs.
