I've always wondered...where did door culture start?  Just another social norm we all follow?

Good point!  Those who don't follow the crowd,

who don't have to have what others like, can save

a lot of money.  For example,

---Enjoying 4-door hardtops instead of convertibles.

---Liking LeSabres instead of Riviera Gran Sports.

---Liking Olds 98's instead of Olds 4-4-2's.

---Following Nashes instead of muscle cars.

---Appreciating 1979 Buicks instead of 1957 Chevrolets.

These cars are very special in 4-door hardtop form.  The "flat top" roofline was sensational.  And, in my opinion, the Silver Birch paint color is great on a '59, enhancing the "Jet Age" styling themes.

Only problem with starting with a real high price is it's only fresh on the market once.  After every one has seen it and it doesn't sell,  it usually requires a LARGE price drop to find a buyer.

Again I go back to the fact that when you are asking top dollar,  you should atleast detail the darn thing.
