Guest Posted December 5, 2002 Share Posted December 5, 2002 On the number one cylinder on the driver's side of the engine there are two raised bosses. There should be a thin rod protruding from the engine block next to the cylinder. If the top of the rod is between the two bosses, your oil level is ok. This rod is attached to a float in the oil pan. If the rod is not there, you've got a problem (most likely a sunk float). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
