I don't find the price unrealistic at all. It's an above-average specimen. For $12,000 I would expect a running, driving car with shabby seats, a grubby engine bay, broken A/C, radio, clock, and maybe a few sluggish windows, plus a blah color like "Putty" or "Bottom of the Lake." This is an interesting car, attractive colors, good condition, the CertiCard is still in place, it has manuals, brand-name tires, very few pits in the chrome, vinyl top in good shape. Most aren't this nice. If the A/C works I would add $3000.

It'll sell. I don't know these guys or care about the car, but I might even try to eke out a bit more than that on a car that nice. I had guys fighting over the last Imperial 4-door sedan I had and a hardtop is that much rarer. Maybe it's time to recalibrate the price-o-meter, eh?

I mostly agree with Matt,  this is a very nice car.   It has only been a month,  so a buyer near the asking may still materialize.   Not sure what rule a dealer would use on when to reduce price,  but maybe later in the summer you adjust down.

Most cars are pieces of sh**.    Something as nice as this deserves a premium.

I brought the blue one with red interior back to the top as a comparison. That one is priced right.  I agree with you guys this is a very nice car.  I love that color. And the original poster knows I have been wrong on price lately, although we don’t always know what the final deal price is.

At one time in my long collecting time, I favored Imperials.  They are a cool alternative to the mainstream cars.  These cars ooze 60’s Mad Men era class in my opinion.  Sinatra and the Rat Pack. I wanted a triple black 64-66 LeBaron.

it’s cars like this and the blue one- that try to tug me back into the hobby.  I’m done with the days of owning 6 cars. But the market has several perfectly fine cars now that a guy could buy a couple for non retirement damaging amounts and enjoy a bygone era. Would like to see these 2 Imperials in members hands.

Again I don’t disagree. But potential buyers need to be forewarned that these Imperials are Uber complex and all the power accessories working at any given time is a pipe dream. I was in the WP Chrysler club once and a member had a 64 Crown and we chased electrical gremlins until he passed away.

Sounds like the Continental 4 door convertibles.    I know nothing about this model other than it looks REALLY nice.   I'm probably over reacting to seeing such a nice car when 95% of the stuff for sale should probably be crushed.
