Does anyone know where someone could find a replacement for the roller or part on the back of the accelerator foot pad?

The one pictures is worn, yet over greased to keep working...

Thanks.

Most of them get to look like this sooner, or later, with a little less grease !

I always thought this was a design flaw as the plastic wheel is riveted so tight it doesn't roll. Incidentally looking at the wear on this roller is one of the best ways to tell mileage.

In the past I've ground/drilled out the rivet to remove the plastic wheel and mounted a small roller bearing exactly as Tim pictured above.

Definitely a design flaw common to all GM models of this era as Jason stated !

Even more so if the vehicle was driven and exposed to harsh winter climates.

Bare steel is very prone to corrosion and seizure.

They get an "A" for the thought process, but an "F" for execution !
