Peerless @ Auto Shows Past and Present

In The Chicago Sunday Tribune on 1/31/32, it was reported that 42 makes of cars would be at the Chicago Auto Show running from January 30th to February 6th. Among them were Cord, Duesenberg, Franklin, La Salle, Peerless, Pierce-Arrow, and Stutz. Remarkable, considering how close to the end the company was from selling cars. Last car made was a Custom Eight Sedan 11/7/31, the office furnishings had been sold, a company was set up to sell the spare parts inventory in Detroit, and conversion to a brewery was in full swing.

This 100-year-old PEERLESS was part of the festivities of the 2010 Amelia Island event, albeit the auction. I thought some would like to see a dash of brass.

1910 Peerless Landaulet by Brewster...built in Cleveland Ohio ...
A 1910 Model 27 Landaulette owned by Illinois Cadillac Dealer Jack Tallman for years. Also passed through the hands of Edward Litchfield, James Melton, Henry Austin Clark, and Dr. William Donze. Now in the Key Museum in Izmir, Turkey. Jack wrote to me that it is the ultimate Brass Car.
