LCK81403
Paging through Floyd Clymer's Motor Scrapbook Number 7, and came across the 1907 Borbein "new model roadster" on page 67. Either there are no rubber tires on the wheels, or this may show the first low profile tires. Whichever is the case there does seem to be plenty clearance under the fenders to prevent build-up of mud and snow.
Terry Bond
There are no tires on those wheels, although they were obviously made for clincher type. Terry
Rusty_OToole
Obviously a photo of an unfinished or half finished car. No headlights or windshield, hood with no louvers or latches etc. as well as no tires. There were "low profile" tires also known as solid rubber tires. Commonly seen on heavy trucks but available for cars especially the early high wheelers but a few Model Ts had them.
