Not fake discs over wood.The wheels have too much "dish" to hide wood spokes behind them. I don't know how many companies made disc wheels in the 1920s, or what make these are. I do know there were several makers of wheels. These do not look like Budd wheels, nor do I think they are Jaxon. Motor Wheel (was somewhat connected with Jaxon) also made wheels similar to these. There was a company that made steel disc wheels that commonly used three hub bolts, but their name escapes me at the moment. As unusual as they seem to be? There were dozens of makes and models of American made automobiles that offered steel disc wheels as an option. Reo actually sold quite a few cars with them.
