Coronavirus Cabin Fever Therapy - Car Quiz #2

Recommended Posts

Another day and another car quiz to help you pass the time.  Identify the year, make, and model of the vehicle in the photo with your only clue being its taillight.  The answers are at the bottom of the quiz.

I'll post a new quiz each day for at least the next three weeks.  Most of the quizzes are taillight quizzes, but a few of the quizzes will be trivia quizzes about cars in movies, TV shows, and songs

Enjoy!  Be safe and stay healthy!

I only got five right. Based on this and the other quiz I know what I need to spend more time looking at at car shows when they resume!

I only got four right, but I was only three years off on #6, so I kinda got five right. 😄

Most embarrassing guess: I thought one of them was a Tucker. 😆

Enjoying these, getting 3-4 right as far as make, close on year, but not easy.

No one should feel bad about misidentifying any of the photos--it's hard to do when all you have is a taillight.  Yes, some are pretty distinctive, but many in the 1930s-1950s look pretty similar without other clues like fender shape.  It would be much easier if you could see the whole car.

Most of the quizzes I've prepared are like these--a mixture of makes, models, and years--but some upcoming ones are more specific such as Mustangs only (identify the year) and Corvettes (identify the year by the "gills" on the front fender of the car).  Because it looks like I'm going to have plenty of extra time over the next month or two, I'll try to produce some more quizzes limited to specific manufacturers (e.g., Chrysler only) to make them a little easier for fans of those makes.

Be safe and stay healthy, everyone!

The tougher, the better as far as I am concerned. We love a good challenge.

#7 got me.

While I got most of them right,

#7 is the anomilie (sp?)

It is not the Citroen DS or ID, or D-Special, D-Super series,

however it may be either the:

Ami-6 - Ami/8 sedan,

or the 2-CV 602cc "Big Block" version

My Ami and 2-CV were earlier 1960s versions with more traditional taillights

I am clueless when it comes to foreign cars. I would probably get them all wrong.

Hello Marty.  The 1972 Citroen was a 2CV I photographed at the 2014 Southeastern Fall Meet and Annual Grand Nationals in Lebanon, TN.  Sorry--I should've had the model in answer key.

I hope you and Dale are both doing well.  Be safe and stay healthy!  We'll get through this.
