Horn not working

Recommended Posts

I have a 31 sa6 deluxe, is there a way to remove the horn button on the steering wheel to clean up the contacts? The horn only works once in a while when the button is pressed.

Benefits of AACA Membership.

I tried looking up SA6 and only Soviet surface to air missile launcher came up.

It would be fun to have one and I would not care if the horn did not work.

There is a tedious way to remove the horn button. You must remove the light switch at the base of the steering column and pull the whole shaft out of the column. You may have to lower the steering column at the dashboard in order to get the tube all of the way out. There are screws on the back side of the horn button for removal of the horn button.

Not at this time. It goes to one of my coupes. What number switch do you need?

I don't really need one. Just looking to pick up a spare.

Mine is a '31 CG and that switch looked familiar.

And a whole lot cleaner than mine.

Is it the horn or the button?   Check continuity before dismantling that button
