leomara
Information is sparse on this. Something about running boards were made of wood and then later in the year changed to metal?
28 Chrysler
There were a lot of mid year production changes in the early years. Theses photos were stolen from an old post ( 55331), might be tough to make.
Narve N
Marty Lum had a reproduction of this metal style running boards which I bought from him some years back. Was identical to the NOS board I had laying around (for Series 65).
Taylormade
I had new running boards made for my 32 Dodge Brothers DL. They look similar, if not identical, to your boards. To get them exact is not a job for the faint of heart, but it can be done.
3Eagles
Does anyone have contact information for Marty Lum? What are the prices for a pair for a 28 Chrysler 72 roadster?
Taylormade
Here are some pics of the running-boards being fabricated. As I said before, not for the faint of heart. Not to say that a real master metal worker couldn't do it by hand, but this ended up being an exact duplicate of the original and they fit like a glove. The number of pieces was extraordinary. Taylormade
Applying the rubber and final installation. I had the boards powder-coated black and sanded the upper surface for better glue adhesion..

Bill Harmatuk
Marty Lumm made 2 beautiful running boards for my 30 CJ-6 Chrysler. Exact duplicate of original. He offered. I payed a fair price for excellent craftsmanship. I think he copied the boards from his Desoto K. Has anyone heard from Martin lately.??
