Water pump

Recommended Posts

I sent my '31 Chrysler pump to the "Flying Dutchman" (Mr. Wade Jensen) in Gold Hill Oregon, USA

He did a beautiful job at a very reasonable cost, and a quick turn around !!!!!

Mike in Colorado

PS: While you have the fan off, check it VERY CLOSELY for cracks where the 2 blades meet.

  Ask me why.............

I have bought a new waterpump.

And think this might work.

I will re-use the old backing plate

But the small hole in the backing plate is where the impeller is in the new pump.

Should I weld up the hole and drill a new so it clears the edge of the impeller ?

What is the purpose of this hole ?

Will this pump work ?

You can see that at my old backing plate

No one has 34 DR water pump gaskets either bought four all are for pumps with the “water tube” 34 does not have water tube just square hole, so I guess I’ll just make some 34 Gaskets, my pump seems fine, just no gaskets fit it,,,,

If you can’t find a Gasket for 34 DR without water tube just make one,
