Elks Magazine purple and white free wheeling Studebaker President 8 roadster convertible parked in front of the Elks Club, 120-124 Monona Avenue. The car's crew is posing with local men who welcomed them. The automobile has a sign that reads: "The Elks Magazine - Studebaker President 8 - free wheeling from New York to Seattle."

Eddie Peabody  "the banjo king"

Eddie Peabody with his new Lincoln Continental, receiving the title from Lucien S. Hanks, general manager of Kayser Motors, Inc., 1501 Monroe Street. Eddie Peabody was known as "the banjo king" in Madison.

Great building.  If I've identified the location correctly, it is now home to a pretty hideous piece of modern architecture:

Photo source here (in fact, now that I'm looking, it roots back to here with the same photo posted originally):

Neat interior shots of what seems to be another Kayser dealership at a different location a few miles away.

He has a lot to smile about, sitting pretty on the hood of an Oakland

Any idea what year and series the Oakland might be?
