Removing the chrome hood vents on a 64

Remove the entire cowl piece. That means removing both wiper arms first. Then unscrew the cowl. Lift it up and remove the little rubber hoses that feed the washer jets and remove the cowl piece.

 

Once you do that, the vent piece will come off easily.

 

Only the u-shaped piece is exposed chrome. The vent part is painted body color.
