Sightseeing in the winter - Ford/Edsel assortment off the main road

Recommended Posts

Saw these today for the first time in the 29 years I've lived in this area - not that far from home

Benefits of AACA Membership.

You must give the collector points for properly storing the cars with at least a roof over them.

There was a Thread a few weeks ago showing beautiful cars rotting away in the direct weather with no protection at all.

Hmmm, that Jaguar and 66 Chevrolet don't seem to be from Ford Motor company. 🙃

Wait, there was a Ford Jaguar connection!😉

Like these cars which have been parked for YEARS just as you see them........ 🤢

They are at a  cul-de-sac off of a State highway not far away from me.

They are invisible from the highway.

Kinda hard to make out what they are other than cars. Can you pretend you have car trouble & go knock on the door? Snap a few photos while doing it? 😁

My intention in referencing the Ford/Edsel vehicles in the thread title was my attempt to illustrate that they were, in my opinion, the only cars in the photos that might be of relevant collector interest.  I guess there could be some collector interest in the two Chevrolets, as well as the Jaguar.  However, they didn't really stand out to me in the midst of all these particular Ford products.

My bad.

If you do talk to the owner at some point, I would probably want both of the Chevys.

When you said winter, I was expecting snow 😀.  Even here in SE PA snow is hard to find this winter.

I know only one person who has actually visited the premises.

The owner is adamant that none of the cars are leaving.

As far as I know they are Ford Mustangs.

If any of them are '65's that's a good place for them.

They look like Tootsietoys in a diorama.

The yellow one on the very bottom looks like a Firebird or Camaro. The long row looks like Mustang issues from each generation.

It does look like an Edsel Ranchero in the original post. Ford did not produce any but I've heard the Edsel nose bolts on interchangeably. I've never seen one in person, only online, so I don't know if that's entirely accurate.

A drone with a good camera would answer all of these questions. Just don't get shot down by the owner!
