motoringicons
SOLD! This c. 1924 Auto Red Bug electric roadster was restored about 20 years ago and has been on display in a private collection since the restoration was completed. This car weighs about 240 pounds and was advertised as having a top speed of 16 miles per hour. It featured pneumatic tires mounted on clincher wire wheels and rear wheel braking. It has been properly restored and remains in excellent cosmetic condition. The 12 volt electric motor, steering, brakes, and drive mechanisms operate properly. The wire wheels are in excellent condition. The painted components are excellent with hardly any signs of wear and the wood has been properly refinished. Richard_D
Just out of interest how far did you get out of the battery before needing to recharge?
motoringicons
An Optima 12 volt lasted for at least two summers without needing to be charged. Not sure how far it was driven but there were lots and lots of trips around the subdivision and driving around at some local car shows. It really scoots right along-especially on flat pavement.
