Anyone out there know the name or names of an experienced one cylinder Cadillac engine rebuilder? Prefer eastern U.S. or England.

A good friend needs help.

Thank in advance.

There is an early Cadillac group run by Steve Hammant of Washington state. If you google Early Cadillac Group you will find some information. I'm not a member and cannot tell you how to join the group. If you are a member of the HCCA I think you will find Steve's number in your roster.

Also, Leroy Baumgartner lbaumgardner1@comcast.net <lbaumgardner1@comcast.net> has done a lot of early cadillac work. He is in Pennsylvania.

Not on the east coast, but this is an experienced shop that has been in business for over 80 years:

Hart's Machine Service

106 Main St
Cecil, OH 45821

+1 419.399.4777

They have built engines for some of the regulars on this forum.

Might be worth a call...

Agree.  They have done a couple of engines for me including my 1908 Buick 2 cylinder.

Do check in with the Early Cadillac Group.  Simply use the following address:

http://www.earlycadillac.org

We've just moved the group to a new host site and

having a great time!  Currently we have over 375 active members

from all around the world.  Our emphasis is simply

all copper cylinder Cadillacs, which means from 1903-1914.

Thanks Larry and Steve.

I sold my '04 Cadillac last December and am trying to help the new owner as much as possible.

Steve, I was a member of the ECG for many years and dropped the membership after the sale. It truly is a great site and I recommended the ECG to the new owner.

McPherson college in Kansas has some one-week classes between the regular semesters,I took one on drivetrain and transmission a couple years ago,and saw that they were rebuilding an 03 in the engine shop. I believe it had been in there for some years but it might but worth a call to see if they can steer you to a qualified rebuilder.
