Just FYI I guess Buick’s were cheap after the war! In the late 60s I worked for a recycling place in Ks. and found several old receipts like this w titles in a draw of an old desk. They were buying these cars by the pound just pull them a cross the scales or drive them across, if they had a good tire or two they would pull them off and if there any gas in the tank they would sifen it out and pull the battery if it was any good and crush the rest. dale.tharp@gmail.com / 406 557 611one.

The signature is of one of my dad's cousins.  The Shipman's had farms throughout eastern KS.

Good this is Dale in Montana and Kansas that is interesting that your dads cousins were around our little town, are there any of them still living ,in your area or around Fredonia? We still have a ranch there and we spend about half our time there! Would this article mean anything to any of them? Iam guessing I don’t have a title for that car, or he wouldn’t have written out a bill of sale but I will research it further. Thanks Dale

No more Shipman's in Fredonia area anymore, that I know of.  Shipman's from Jewell County (NE KS) passed that farm to the Shagley's side of the family and moved to CO Springs and Denver just before WWII.  Dad was career Navy ('36 - '66) and met my mom at the MA shipyards, hence I live in MA.  Other Shipman family members headed to MO, AZ, and TX.
