A 1930 GMC Taxi

Recommended Posts

This is listed as a 1930 GMC Taxi though I would think it was titled a Yellow cab for the Yellow Coach and Truck Division.   Whatever the case, it might be a sole survivor.

Interesting car.  Looks like it has, or had, a division window between driver and passenger(s).  I'm guessing the slot by the driver is for passing fare and change through?

I agree, it's pretty cool. Does $6,500 sound like a fair price for this car in it's current condition?

REALLY COOL!  I have a screw on brass hubcap that says Yellow Phila. on it; bought it at one of Austin Clark's Iron Range Days 40+ years ago. That cap must weigh at least  pound . ( no it is not for sale)

Do you know what engine is in these taxis? GMC trucks thru the 20's & 30's used Buick engines. The car has a buick look to it too?
