Back in 1912......

In 1912 there were a few automobiles here on the island I live on in Puget Sound.  My great grandpa and some friends started the “Vashon Island Automobile Club”. In 1914 my great grandpa designed this brass plaque to be wired onto club members radiators. There must have been several produced but I have the only one known to still exist.  My wife actually had it framed and it hangs in our kitchen 😆

Wow,,,

Very cool, I grew up on Browns point and Vashon was right out our window.

Was on Vashon a couple of years ago on the bike run.

I have a cousin that lives on the island.

I never knew that there had been a car club there.
