1950's Mopar Radiator I.D. help needed - DCPD Part # 1494 469 D4

Hello,

 

I'm hoping someone can help me identify this radiator that I pulled from my '55 Chrysler 300. I'm looking to sell it and I need to know the correct application. Any help is appreciated.

That radiator # 1494469 is for a 1953 to 54 MoPar V8 car. Reason is that 1494....came.out in 1953 and comes close to matching the numbers in the MoPar parts books. I found your rad # was updated to 1494643 in the 1961 MoPar Superceded parts.list book.

That's all I can find on it.

I think it's for a 53-54 chrysler V8 car myself.

A lot of times the number on the part last few numbers never matches the parts books numbers..off by three.

1494469 is not in the 1953 or 54 passenger car book

 

1494643 is for 53-54 Plymouth AND 54 D52 Dodge 8 cylinder.   This is from the 1953 and prior part book

The 53/54 Chrysler V8 the lower radiator hose was on the left side
