Brass is Best
1951 Packard 200 Deluxe Sedan with Overdrive. Call Pete or Andy 419-668-1884. Spectacular! Probably the finest unrestored original example in existence. Remember an automobile like a work of art can only be original once. This wonderful Packard was purchased new by a lady in Wichita Kansas. She would enjoy her Packard until 1965 when it was put into storage. Her estate would sell the beloved Packard in 2004. Today the odometer shows only 12,548 documented miles. We have the hand written Purchase Order and Car Invoice! We also have the registration renewal from 1965 that was never returned. Finished by Packard Motorcar Company in 1951 in Color Code correct factory original Yosemite Blue. The interior is finished in trim code correct factory original blue and gray cloth by Packard Motorcar Company in 1951. The engine compartment is original showing inspection stamps and details which are forgotten or overlooked on restored examples. The canvas A-arm covers are still in place! The luggage compartment is original with signs of minimal use. The brown and gray Packard flocking is present throughout. The Packard for 1951 was a whole new car. It had been under development since 1949 and cost Packard over $20,000,000. The Twenty Fourth Series Packard’s were truly modern machines. The 200 Deluxe Packard’s were powered by a 288 cubic inch Straight Eight which was rated at 135 horsepower. Three Speed manual transmission with Overdrive. This Packard is equipped with lots of great features. Turn Signals. Wheel trim rings. Am Radio. Clock. Heater and Defroster. Driver and Passenger outside mirrors. Reversing lamps. Excellent Road Manners. Ready to Drive, Show and Enjoy.
