You can then specify that he needs the piece that goes onto the "rear fender" or "rear quarter panel." "Sir, my friend has a 1964 Pontiac 2-door hardtop. He needs a piece of body-side molding for the right side-- the passenger side. He needs the piece that goes on the rear quarter panel." And then e-mail the pictures. A sill would be the aluminum piece just inside the door that you step over when entering the car. The picture tells most of the story.
