PRICE CUT To $25. STROMBERG AAV-16 Carb #1. 1939 to 1947 BUICK.

Recommended Posts

The price has been lowered to just $25, plus shipping.

This is a STROMBERG AAV-16 carb, suitable for rebuilding. It's a take-off from about 45 years ago. So, there's plenty of dust and dirt on the carb exterior. That is just crud on the outside.  I haven't done any cleaning. However, everything moves as it should (no shafts or throttle butterflies seized or rusted). The choke is complete, and seems to function. Has the electric switch in place, for use with the gas pedal starting system.

This general carburetor fits some of the following BUICKs:

-1939 40 series

-1941 60, 70 and 90 series

-1941 and 1942 40 and 50 series

-1946 and 1947 40 and 50 series

However, be sure to check to make sure this carburetor is right for you. You can always PM me with the specific STROMBERG sub-number you need, and I'll check this carb's sub-number.

Again, this carb is being sold as a core. It should be a good candidate for rebuilding. Don't expect to bolt it on as-as, and go down the road!

The price has now been cut to just $25, plus the shipping. Thanks for looking. John

Shane...it's you. The guy who recently posted here on the forums that you were "interested" in the 1937-38 BUICK Century sidemount parts I had for sale. But then, you never once responded to my various attempts to reach you via PM's and forum reply postings. This happened just a few weeks ago...remember? Well, I do. Now you'd be interested in a '38 series 60 carb, if I had one. Hmm....this IS very interesting. John

Hello John,
Does the starter switch contain the cam? If so,
Can I please be next in line to purchase if Buicknutty decides not to?
Thank, Frank

Hi John,
Thank you for responding. I see you have another AAV-16 posted for sale as Carb #2. I’ll respond to that post.

Regards, Frank
