No ROA meet in Vegas according to the places listed on the ROA website. We need to remember that Buick first used the Riviera name in 1949 and the Riviera Hotel in Vegas was built in 1955. Just from associating facts I figure the 1949 Riviera name had much to do with the American soldier's exposure to Europe during WWII, the French Riviera, and the newly started Cannes Film Festival.
