JACK M
Years ago I had a 77 Chevrolet crew cab. It did not have intermittent wipers. I fitted it with a delay gizmo that had a slider on it. If I remember correctly it would offer a ground to trigger the wipers to one cycle. The slider would dictate how fast or slow the delay was. I probably got this thing from JC Whitney or the likes. I have done a lot of internet searching for one of these to no avail. I did find a small circuit board thing and in fact ordered it from over seas. It was cheap and might do. However, I sure would like to find another device similar to the one I used those years ago. It was a small rectangular box with a slider on its face and I mounted it under the dash within reach. Any body ever see one of these for sale recently? joe_padavano
I've bought a few of those boxes at swap meets over the years. The ones I've used have a rotary knob instead of a slider, but the function is the same. On the GM round wiper motor you need to ground the terminal for the high speed winding to trigger the motor. The box works exactly as you describe - a timer periodically grounds this terminal. I think I got my first one from Whitney also . A quick google search turns up this version for $12. https://store.qkits.com/wind-shield-wiper-timer-module-mxa041.html

JACK M
Thanks Joe, That eBay one must have shown up since I looked. I did order the China one. They say it will be here in January. I offered fifteen bucks for the slider model and they took it. Going to have to figure out the wiring on either one I guess.
JACK M
Hmm, oddly enough there is a NIB on there for about double but it has the directions. I must have been using the wrong search words when I looked.
JACK M
Now I feel kinda dumb. There are two of these NIB on the Bay, I should have bought one of those. One of them shows a clear shot of the wiring instructions. At least I gleaned that from the ad. If I cant get the used one working the other two will already be sold. My dumb luck. Thanks again Joe.
