This Ashtray was used in Airplanes like a 727 or a 737 - 200

I require 4 ash trays like in the picture below. I have been told that the 727 and 737 used to use them.

If planes used them where would you go find an ashtray like this ?

Does anyone else sell these. Someone said trains had this style also.

Yes it is off a Reo Royale or more commonly know as Hen's Teeth.

They do not have to be exactly like this.

The lighter I can get at Mac's Ford.

I believe the airliner ashtrays were more of a rectangle. They also had flip-tops. I recall using them when I used to smoke YEARS ago.

John I have to make the wood part which is not hard from some pictures I have.

I need the inserts which I have been told where used in airplanes and I remember the flip top ashtrays also.

The ashtrays in aircraft such as the 727 had a spring loaded top, I believe mandated by the FAA, located in the armrest. If you search "1960 Corvette ash tray", they are similar to them. As for the kidney shaped ash trays that you picture, any metal shop can fabricate them to your specifications. Bend the top shape out of 1/8" X 3/8" stock and TIG weld the receptacles and have them plated.

Probably someone from up north could supply some more info.

But I recall a salvage outlet operated by Boing somewhere south of Seattle, Maybe Kent.

But that was some years ago, however I think they still make airplanes.

I recall seats, toilets, all sorts of weird hardware etc.  And a very wide selection of STUFF !! Mostly recognizable as aircraft related.

Ashtrays? I don't recall.
