Wowabunga
I drove a Mustang as a teen and don't recognize this... Camaro ?
lump
I THINK I see 3 shift-levers under that shifter. If so, then it is for a 4-speed manual shift. Both Ford and Chevy used shifters with pull-triggers for reverse lock-out. But Chevy trigger shifters had a chrome handle which bolted onto the base of the shifter from the top side. Not sure what this may be. Edited November 17, 2019 by lump (see edit history)
Bloo
Thats an Inland shifter for a four speed. I have one from a Chevy Monza that bolts to the floor like that (anybody need one?). Chevy Vegas were similar.
Wowabunga
No wonder I couldn't visually ID the thing I kept looking under automatic GTO's and Camaros. The pull trigger reminded me of my automatic 67 Mustang shifter. Looking at some Vega and Monza shifters on eBay I'd say you all are correct. I'll clean it up and get some better photos. Have been storing this for 10+ years. Should get pizza and beer money out of it...!!!!
