nzcarnerd
Most of the cars are readily identifiable but for the touring car with the plate 19.173. No front brakes and shallow dish head lamps so probably very early 1920s.
Grandpa
Re. the touring car to ID - - - Many of the car's features match the circa 1921 Velie, except for the windshield frame.
JACK M
Lots of things going on it that pic. With the Christmas tree in the parade I might guess that those people are lined up to visit Santa. But that may have been before his time. Wasn't Santa invented by Coca-Cola? Patterned after St Nick I believe.
nzcarnerd
The mystery car is, apparently, a 1923-24 Studebaker Light Six. The occasion is a a parade held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the town. There seems to be some debate on the exact date of the founding so I think there may have been more than one parade. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pahiatua
58L-Y8
There appears to be another Studebaker nearest the camera, only the top of a Duplex phaeton is visible.
