What happened to R & R?

Recommended Posts

Hey '33'

In regards to <span style="font-style: italic">"He missed out on a good carburetor"</span>, I don't recall ever looking for a carburetor on this or any other forum! smirk.gif By the way, I certainly would NOT try to make ANY type of deal with an anonymous or unregistered person. Just seems like they have something to hide. grin.gif

Anonymous ~ Don't give it a thought where I am concerned. I have been reading and enjoying all of Amphicar's posts and think he makes good points and posts neat pictures.

Amphicar ~ Just keep on posting and ignore the anonymous hacks. smile.gif

Thanks for the compliments HVS! grin.gif I give little if any thought to most anon posts. smirk.gif

One thing I have become known for is my graphics. I am currently redesigning my entire website. It is sadly out of date. frown.gif I have been a graphics artist, website designer and currently I am doing 3D solids modeling mechanical design work. cool.gif

You going to register HVS JR.? You could be just a person who is impersonating the hallowed HVS as far as I'm concerned.

BTW is your "red" neck condition getting any better? tongue.gif

Anonymous~ Why don't you just back off. What it seems you are trying to get started here with HVS isn't needed!

That's about as nice as I can put it to you.

every time i go upstate new york, to skaneatires lake i see an amphicar, never in the water.. though.

but that is the best comprehensives car sight i've ever seen.

do you know anything about the Cadillac boats that were around in the 50's?

we are trying to compile that kind of data base for the '20's-30's buick before all the old timers "die off".

the young guys have the computer skills, and the old guys have the Buick skills.... it's just trying to put them together is the problem.

i wish, these aaca forums were more like our users groups, and less for know-it-all's to preach.

the yahoo groups are free, but the membership ID is required to keep the porno and virgra add out....

Thanks Tommy1927! When I started my site, I really wanted to make as much info available as possible. frown.gif I scanned in the entire maintenance manual and it's online available for all Amphicar club members to view. That took me forever. The manual was translated from German and the spelling and gramatical errors were a-plenty. I also have it on CD with other Amphicar stuff too. There was not much info available, but now that has changed.

There are a few up there. Most seem to be either in Ca. - Wi - or NY. As always, if anyone finds one or parts I'm interested! laugh.gif

It might be because this is a club site and not a tech or single make site that other things like club stuff get discussed and then that leads to opinions and discussion.

<span style="font-weight: bold">WAYNE!</span> Be careful!!! There are sensitive old people reading these posts!!! shocked.gifsmirk.gif

The Amphicar was made between 1961 and 1968, the last ones imported into the U.S. in 1967.

Thanks Wayne! I love my Harley too! IMNSHO, a woman in leather is a beautiful thing, especially if she is on her own bike! cool.gif

I see your question has been answered about the years of manufacture. I started another thread called "Amphibious-ness" that has a lot more info if you're interested. I am currently redesigning my entire site with updated photos and such. It is waaaaay out of date at the moment. frown.gif
